Donna Cona is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst for one of our clients. The work location is in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

The successful resource MUST have:

·         Minimum 7+ years of progressive Business Systems Analysis experience in the area of information technology;

·         5+ years financial accounting experience;

·         Accounting or IT Degree Specializing in Systems Design would be and advantage;

·         Experience and knowledge developing and managing IT related projects;

·         Experience and knowledge of business analysis methodologies;

·         Experience and knowledge of financial accounting practices including the Canadian Tax system;

·         Experience developing business analysis reports;

·         Experience with workflow process modeling and business managing modeling for IT (focusing in the area of Justice);

·         Experience is Case Management System development;

·         Experience in project budget planning;

·         Interview/Meeting skills;

·         A familiarity with government organizations;

·         Communication and presentation skills;

·         Research skills.

 

Responsibilities will include:

·         Reviewing business operations of the office of the public trustee and creating a business needs report for the Department;

·         Preparing project budget for future replacement of existing system;

·         Preparing cost/benefit report and stakeholder list for possible replacement of existing system;

·         Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software;

·         Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements;

·         Create functional requirements in use cases. Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs;

·         Ensure clean and accurate documentation that may include aspects such as business requirements, client requirements, and technical specifications, and write findings in form of reports, which may be used in professional publications.
